Girl Meets Boy
We met in a martial arts gym – a place you can rely on more than Tinder – where, much like in "The Office", many tend to find a pair!
We survived a year of friendship filled with pasta meals, zefir, jiu-jitsu competitions, and sprained ankles, only to begin our "together forever" journey right before the great Covid lockdown of 2020.
More than four years later, Dean still struggles to make Jana laugh, but he makes up for it with his cooking skills and good looks. Jana excels in eating large amounts of said cooked food, great dancing, and her ability to remember where things are at home.
Looking to the future, we're excited to continue fighting over how to decorate our future home, whether breakfast should be sweet or savoury, and who takes longer to get ready.
Join us as we celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives together with a few words, followed by dinner, drinks, and plenty of dancing!
Travel
Depending on where you're choosing to stay, you can fly to Venice, Pula or Ljubljana airports.
The venue is 16km away from Koper and within similar distance from Izola and Piran, if you're staying by the coast. We aim to arrange transporation for the day of the wedding, which we will be confirming with guests individually.
If you want to see more of Istria, the best way is to rent a car. We've had good experience using Sixt. Parking will also be available at the wedding venue.

Things to do
Relax on the stunning beaches of the Istrian coast, explore Croatian town of Rovinj, or stay in Slovenia for picturesque lakeside and coastal escapes.
Cycle along the scenic Parenzana Path, winding through Slovenia’s charming towns of Koper, Izola, and Piran, with views of the Adriatic Sea.
Fuel up with savory bites like burek, calamari, gnocchi, or Istrian fuži, treat yourself to gibanica, kremšnita, and more, and enjoy local wines.

Calling all ladies! While there will be a wooden floor under the marquee, there are grassy areas you may need to walk through. We recommend chunky heels or sandals to keep your shoes safe and your ankles intact!
